Our Mission
The mission of the Center for Sports Behavioral Health is to lead the charge within integrated sports behavioral health at the collegiate level to empower coaches, staffs, administrators, and student-athletes to succeed on and off of the field.
Our Voice
“Mental health isn’t apart from, but rather a part of athletic health”
- Brain Hainline, NCAA Chief Medical Officer
We understand that student-athletes live in a world full of high demands both athletically and academically, and are not always equipped with the tools they that they need to succeed. College athletes have reported that they spend up to 42 hours per week on athletic-related activities and up to another 41 hours per week on academics.
The Center for Sports Behavioral Health (CBSH) is here to provide a general assessment of your athletic department’s behavioral health services and give feedback and suggestions to improve these programs to the highest standards. The Center for Sports Behavioral Health can be as involved as necessary, whether it be on a strict, hands-on basis, or completely as consultants.
